The host offered me a room upgrade on arrival. He helped me book a motorbike back to Vung Tau. He offered to let me check out at 3pm as that was when my ride was due. He checked with me the next day to make sure that my onward journey was successful. Also,the showers had lovely hot water and the fridge kept things lovely and chilled. I also requested a kettle which was immediately provided. Finally the location is only about 5 minutes to the beach.
