The fine print
When booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. Bookings made with a breakfast package include a Continental buffet: croissants and rolls with preserves, sweet pastries, cereals, cheese, ham, fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice. Take-away box available on request.The Columbia Hotel is a non smoking establishment and respectfully ask guests to adhere to this policy. If a room has been smoked in, it shall be necessary to apply a charge of GBP 150.00 to the room account to cover additional costs such as deep cleaning and the necessity of having to put the room off for the following days guest arriving.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Great value for money hotel is very old but it’s clean and cosy, rooms are dated but Clean, great location with a bus stop just outside the hotel. Building work was going on outside our room so very noisy from 8am, but everything else was fine. Worth a visit

What can I say, it’s a beautiful building, attentive staff and a perfect location for our girls trip. If you want modern and sleek then don’t bother to book, it’s the charm of the old and vintage with the Columbia that makes it beautiful. Me and my daughters 12 & 18 loved it, comfortable beds and everything central with in walking distance over the road from the Italian gardens just perfect. We will definitely be booking again and I will ask for a room with a view next time.

The location was excellent—not only was the neighborhood great, but it was also very close to public transport and the city's main landmarks. The rooms were quite spacious, the hotel has its own charm, and the breakfast was good.
