I absolutely love this hotel and have stayed many times, I love that each time I have booked my room looks slightly different from the previous booking and the view is spectacular. I stayed for my best friends birthday and they made a special effort in the room she was staying in which was lovely. We had afternoon Tea which was also fabulous as always. The experience of this hotel starts as soon as you stand waiting for the lift in the lobby and the smell just gets you. The beds are soooo comfy and I find myself never wanting to leave (little tip as for a room with a view from the bath). This hotel is expensive but you get what you pay for. My only disappointment this visit was breakfast, it seemed very slow for some reason and this is something I have never experienced before. My tea was poured and I asked for sugar twice before it came and when it did my tea was cold unfortunately.

Our ‘special request’, regular room was not available on this occasion, but the staff were very helpful in finding a similar aspect, equally spacious room.

We stayed in the smaller suite. Room was as you would expect for this type of establishment. Large, immaculate, all the conveniences of walk in wardrobe two toilets well stocked mini bar etc. Staff were again as you would expect, very attentive, helpful and accommodating to any request. We had room service in the evening and it was of a high standard and a fair price. We had evening cocktails and enjoyed the view, which was a memorable experience. Breakfast was of a high standard and the staff were very accommodating of our 2 year old daughter.

I had an amazing experience at the Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard.The view was breathtaking, the drink at Gong was fantastic. I loved relaxing by the pool ,the view was amazing.
