The properly itself was great, lovely from the outside and the reception area was very nice and staff were super friendly and helpful. The facilities in the room were great, plenty of free toiletries and tea and coffee and even had a fridge although it wasn’t turned on. I just felt about mislead about the room. The pictures online were lovely but we was put in the basement which felt like a staff living quarters. The beds themselves were comfortable and clean but the room itself wasn’t as nice as the pictures. Light in the bathroom above the speckled mirror didn’t work, the bin provided was all dented and just felt abit disappointed compared the photographs online. The room was super noisy as it was single glazed and the windows didn’t seem very secure and didn’t shut completely letting a lot of the noise from the road and busy area in. The noise from the road kept me awake most of the night, which is not ideal with young children and a busy day of exploring the next day. I didn’t feel it good value for money but that may have just been the room we got. I don’t want to say too many bad things about the place as the staff were lovely and held our bags while we was out exploring and even lent us a hairdryer which was super helpful. Overall we had a good experience at the hotel just seems a shame that our room didn’t look as nice as the pictures. However I would stay here again but wouldn’t want the basement room again.
