I arrived 3 hours later than I said I would, in the pouring rain and slightly frazzled from what was an terrible journey. In an an attempt to avoid the M6, I'd somehow found a worse route and of course taken the wrong turn just before the actual drive and ended up on one of Wales terrifying single track roads. But I was met by the lovely Sylvia with an umbrella. An unexpected but appreciated welcome. Bluebell cottage is a charming little cabin set away from the main road and not too far away from the owners own home, but far enough away for your privacy. It has an amazing view of the surrounding Welsh hills and mountains from the large decking at the front, which I imagine is lovely in the warmer months for drinks and a BBQ. The cabin itself is a little rough around the edges and a little small at first. But it has pretty much everything that you need for a stay, the sofa is nice and comfy, I fell asleep on it most evenings, as is the bed once I got to it. And serves as a jumping off place for much of North Wales, not to mention Betws-y-Coed is less that 20 minutes down the road. The heating is very effect, despite the cold weather, I ended up turning it off after a little while. There is a lot to like about this place, however...

Love this place. Genuinely one of those spots that you can get to relax but also get some work done if needed.

Nice outside portch & verander for breakfast & relaxing in fresh air. Good wildlife. Lovelly view across valley to opposite hill with mountains in distance . Very nice helpful owners. Good location as start off to visits around this area.
