Our accommodation was beautiful! It's a very modern, upstairs apartment, finished to an extremely high standard. Our own front door into a hall led upstairs to a huge bedroom with an excellent king-size bed, a good wardrobe and small sets of drawers each, with bedside lights. Behind the bed was a large Velux with views of the stunning Welsh Mountains. The main kitchen, dining and living room was simply enormous! It was excellently laid out with an extensive set of kitchen cupboards/fittings leading to a breakfast bar and two chairs. The rest contained a pair of comfortable chairs, a matching sofa with a useful coffee table and a large TV. We had a good-sized fridge which contained our welcome pack of milk, butter, jam and a loaf of bread! We used the kettle, toaster and oven but washed up, rather than use the dishwasher. Washing-up liquid was provided. There was a very good supply of cutlery, crockery, glasses and kitchenware. We brought in our own food, once we were settled. From the main window were extensive views, from the hosts' garden, across their hay field into the far distance of the island of Anglesey. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets. We also had access to the extensive, well-kept lawns, summer house with pond and the orchard. Our location was excellent. We were 5-10 minutes' drive outside Llangefni, a town almost in the centre of the island. Llangefni has a one-way system, but is extraordinarily well-served by a range of good supermarkets. The rest of the island is very accessible, in every direction and an OS map is the best way to navigate the network of roads and reach less obvious destinations. Beaumaris and its castle are well worth a visit; so is the lighthouse and cliffs at South Stack. The beaches are good but tend to have very shallow water at low tide, so entail a long paddle before reaching swimming depths! Parys/Copper Mountain is extremely interesting.
Steve “Nice location and good accommodation for single person or a couple”
