The hotel looked great from the outside and didn’t disappoint on the inside. The room I was given was surprisingly large and comfortable with terrific views. The bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom were spotless which mirrored the rest of the hotel.

My room was very clean and comfortable. It was also massive! (Free upgrade). Plenty of storage space for clothes and other items. Breakfast was very good. The staff were brilliant; very friendly and helpful. A special mention to the lovely girl serving breakfast who went out of her way to find info on somewhere that was open on Sunday morning (as I had a 3 hour wait for my train and the waiting room is closed at weekends). In warmer weather the location would be perfect as it is a peaceful countryside location, 5 minutes drive from town, or 25 minutes on foot. Taxis are cheap, but I recommend booking in advance. I was only there for one night but this would be a great location for a longer stay to explore the surrounding area if you have a car.
