Lovely rooms, thoroughly cleaned daily. Amazing and friendly staff that made us feel welcome from the first moment! The taverna of the hotel offers the best food on the island

This is a gem of a hotel located about 30 minutes gentle walk from Livadia centre. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned and spotlessly clean. The food is excellent. But what makes the Faros special is the family that owns/runs it. Dimos and his parents Roula and Yannis, along with Helena, are very special people. They make sure that you feel welcome right through your stay. They were particularly kind when one of our group had heat stroke and was poorly. They even made a vegetable soup specially for her. There is a private beach in front of the hotel (take water shoes as the stones can be difficult to walk on bare foot). We last visited 25 years ago and are happy to report that the Faros is as excellent as it’s always been and we enjoyed a very happy reunion with Dimos and his family.
