Booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere easy to reach by Metro (coming from the airport) and also being close to the cruise terminal. AlmaLusa Alfama is a 3-minute walk to the Metro and 10-minutes to the ship. So many of the hotels are located on busy streets, but AlmaLusa Alfama is on a square with very little road traffic. We had room 12 (superior double) which was on the 1st floor (2nd floor in North America). Only rooms on the 1st floor have double doors leading to a Juliet balcony. The room and furnishings were beautiful. It was very bright having the balcony doors and a huge window in the bathroom. Heavy drapes blocked out any light for sleeping. We didn't notice any outside noise at night, except for one night when a terrible rain and windstorm went through...patio furniture was flying everywhere! The staff were all friendly, especially Jessica who checked us in and gave us tips of what to see and always asked us what we had done during the day. Breakfast was delicious; cold foods and made to order eggs and grilled veggies. We stayed 4 nights and plan to book again when we're in Lisbon in 2026. There are 3? steps inside the hotel to get you to the reception level and elevators. There was a side door off an alley that I imagine would give wheelchair access and then you would be able to move around all areas in the hotel..

The room was very small but quite modern. The glass door separated the toilet with shower room. But someone put the curtains, which was a good idea. From tiny windows we had a little bit of sea view. We enjoyed our breakfast although the selection is very small on the counter and if you would like something extra, like smoked salmon, bacon, scrambled eggs and pancakes, you have to order it separately. Slightly different from some other hotels. The location was great.

The hotel is modern and fresh, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely and gave us a warm welcome. And it’s in a great location. We 100% recommend and will stay here again next time we are in Lisbon.
