The location is superb. A few hundreds meters from the harbour, in the heart of Lipari. There is a kitchen (I didn’t cook) where you can prepare coffee/tea.

Lovely location and everything seemed clear. Fast responses from owner even for a late night booking. I did two bookings due to reasons and stayed there two nights

Mamamia at Lipari is one of very few places open in winter, and an excellent place to stay. There was only one other guest so check-in and communication all went smoothly via mail and app. Mamamia is just off the (small) main street so very quiet. Beds and shower were excellent, the room (for three) was spacy, and there's heating (which we didn't need). Despite the winter we found an excellent restaurant open nearby (Sartania) with a limited menu of very fresh food, and great local Malvesina dessert wine and ciciulena biscuits. Our initial plan was to stay at Stromboli, but in wintertime there are no restaurants open and few seedy B&Bs. Instead, we took the 8.45 morning ferry from Lipari to Stromboli and had the path to the 290m viewpoint of the volcano all for ourselves, with great view (from below) of regularly spouting red hot lava bursts. We took the 4.15 pm afternoon ferry back to Milazzo and had a great time.

Great location, excellent bed and pillows, really good value, Room was very quiet and dark at night. This location had a kitchen where we could make coffee in the morning. Walkable to everything.
