With my daughter we stayed in Casa Katia for 9 days, we felt like home there and had a fantastic time. The house has the most incredible sea view from its terrace, so we spent a lot of time there. The house is very comfortable. We had everything we needed, including the washing machine, stuff for cooking, outside shower and good internet connection. There are lovely walks one can do starting from the house, and a nice beach is just down there.

We stayed for one week in Mid September and Casa Katia fulfilled all our expectations. This was not so much due to the house itself which is roomy and well equipped but rather due to its beautiful and quiet location. The landlady picked us up at Santa Marina Salina where the ferries stop and gave us a lift to Lingua. Lingua is only 2km from S. Marina where the grocery shops are and it has its own selection of restaurants right next to the seaside. The best beach in Lingua is just a few steps from the house. As for the stairs that need to be climbed to get to the house - if those are a problem for you, then the Eolian Islands are probably not the best holiday destination for you.

In the morning we went down to the beach to swim, then up and enjoyed the outdoor shower. At about 10am in september the terasse was a cooling spot in the shadow and whenever I lifted my gaze from my book, lying on one of the comfortable chairs, I was sure we accidentally stepped into paradise.
