We flew into Christchurch as we wanted to start our NZ adventure on the South Island. We arrived in the morning and Cathy & Grant let us check in early. Once settled, they suggested some ideas for that afternoon as well as several options for lunch & dinner . All of there recommendations were great. The location of the lodge is in a peaceful garden with a stream flowing through the back yard. We had a great night’s sleep as it has to be one of the quietest places in New Zealand. We spent the next day in Christchurch and a second peaceful night of sleep and we were well on our way to time zone adjustment and ready to explore more of the South Island. Thanks Cathy & Grant

The spacious luxurious home in the most idyllic setting next to a stream with swans and ducks. The room had a balcony looking out onto lawn and a beautiful stand of trees, the only noise were birds. The hosts were amazing, helpful and friendly. They brought us coffee when they saw us sitting at the table by the stream. Food was homegrown and cooked from their garden and farm. Will definitely return!

Breakfast was delicious offering lots of options. The room was beautifully presented and cleaned and the bed was very comfortable.

The garden is impressive. The room is very lovely. There are many details in the room we can feel that they really try to ensure every guest get good rest. Because our stay is also the first day of Chinese New Year, the hostess made us the traditional Chinese cookies. We all really enjoy them, especially my father. We also have a very hearty dinner. We really appreciate their host, which makes our last stay in New Zealand memorable. If we come back to New Zealand, we will definitely visit them again. BTW, their bulldog Pluto is so lovely, will definitely miss her as well.
