The bed was very comfortable and the room basically had everything you might need, even an umbrella. The size of the room was fine. The carpeted corridor means that you don't really hear people - maybe when they close their doors as they seemed to need a good "pull" to get them to close properly. There was a very helpful young man working reception in the evening of the 6th of June, and a another very helpful young woman on the morning of the 7th - I don't know their names, but they deserve a shout out. They knew their jobs (helping customers, which in turn promotes the hotel and results in return visits and/or recommendations) and did them well. See below, but they were in complete contrast to the older woman on reception when we arrived. It's not that far into the centre. Maps are available if you ask. 16/08/2025: to add to comments below, the manager contacted us very soon after our stay to apologise and to promise that several areas would be dealt with immediately (coffee, training of staff), which we appreciated. As for the "would I stay here again" question I posed: yes, but I would hope that the issues commented on below are addressed. However, I want to be clear that the response from the hotel's management was excellent and is to be commended.
