The breakfast room was lovely and staff there terrific but our bedroom was strange - bed sloping on the sloping floor and plenty of beams to bang your head on. Plus the green paint on the way up gave a slight Hammer House of Horror tinge. The staff when you could find them were lovely but the reception desk was routinely unmanned and the guy we finally found to check us in obviously had no idea how hotels worked. More better staff needed and lose the dark green paint.

The hotel/Pub/Restaurant is lovely, very nice interior very traditional. The room was nice with the wood beams and the free chocolates was a nice touch!

Lovely hotel, refurbished but obviously old and still full of character. Excellent evening meal and breakfast the next day in a lovely conservatory with a view out across the countryside

Great location. Really fantastic bar area and good selection of wines. Rooms were very clean.
