I recently stayed at Bernardo’s family-run hotel in Levanto, and it truly felt like a slice of authentic Italy. The hotel is his family home, and from the moment you arrive, you sense a genuine warmth and belonging. A standout feature of the property is the jacuzzi at the top, which offers stunning views over the area—a perfect spot to unwind after a day out exploring. This, along with thoughtful touches throughout the hotel, really adds to the experience. Bernardo puts his heart into making guests feel at home. Every detail is carefully managed, and his personal touch is everywhere—from excellent local recommendations to preparing delicious breakfasts. He even offers a free shuttle service with his own car from the city center, making it much easier to get around. The staff are also fantastic: well-trained, polite, and always ready to help, clearly following Bernardo’s high standards. If you want a genuine Italian experience with the comforts of a professional hotel, the warmth of a family home, and special touches like a scenic jacuzzi, I highly recommend staying here.

Everything was great. The breakfast is 100% worth it, the quality was top, the service was great, the view to the sea was wonderful. Bernardo is wonderful, always there to help you have a wonderful holiday, stress free and comfortable. Manuel gave us so much insights of restaurants and things to do. The service was 5 star hotel, but at the same time felt very like being home. Also we went there for the beach, and it took as 10 minutes to get to the beach while staying in a location with sea view. That was very unique. Bernardo also offer to take us down if we needed or come pick us up. So the service was top. Is also perfect location if want to go for hikes!

Bernardo was extremely helpful throughout our stay - helping with restaurant bookings, suggesting hiking routes and generally being delightful. The hotel is charming, you eat a delicious breakfast in an old chapel.

This was a small owner operated hotel. The owner was fully invested in making our stay as perfect as possible. Prosecco on arrival, towels for the hot tub (a marvellous view), chauffeured collection and return to the train station. Great communication through the use of WhatsApp, where train and ferry timetables were provided, and a map of the area, plus a great mapped summary of best restaurants in Levanto.
