The views, food and spa were exceptional. We liked everything really. The hotel provided all the facilities that another larger hotel in the area offered but on a smaller scale, which we actually prefer as it feels more homely. The garden was beautiful and peaceful. We really enjoyed being able to sit out and watch everyone hiking and biking on the hill with the sound of cow bells and the trickling water. The spa was exceptional; the views were breathtaking. We never found the spa too busy and we often had it all to ourselves. The yoga classes are really lovely and the view from the studio is incredible.The food was amazing; as a couple with a vegan and a non vegan it was the perfect menu to accommodate both. The bread was excellent..so fresh, it's baked right in front of you. The staff were excellent and attentive. The rooms were lovely and timeless with Austrian charm; when you are in your room it feels like you are in your own little cabin in the woods, but with all the facilities of a hotel attached. It's really great that you get a transport pass and a pass to go up the mountains provided; there's loads of free activities up the mountain, like interesting benches, parks, ponds, gardens and art, so we really didn't have to spend anything extra while we were there other than on drinks. We went in September and it was hot - I've never seen skies that clear! We were expecting autumnal weather but it was a proper summer holiday, lying on sun loungers by the pool. We have probably been really lucky, but even if it had rained there would have been enough facilities in the hotel, I don't think rain would have been an issue.

Outstanding food at any time of day, wonderful service that knows everything and can arrange everything. Phenomenal views, and the hotel itself is a place you don't want to leave. Rooftop pool, saunas, spa, garden... Plus a majestic access road. A wonderful stay - just right for a honeymoon!
