We had a wonderful time at Streamlet home stay in Leh. The host - Namgyal- and his family were super welcoming and made us feel at home quicky. So glad we had many of their home cooked dinners - with all ingredients being grown organically by them! The room was very spacious and the overall building is new and clean. Loved the wooden ceilings. Toilet facilities were western with good hot showers. Although it is 15 min walk from the centre, it also has reasonable rates. Would definitely recommend for who is OK to stay a bit further from the centre and connect with this wonderful local family.

The homestay is managed by a small family(retired Army person(Phuntsock Namgial uncle),his adorable wife(Dolma aunty) and son). They are very welcoming family and I cant stop praising their hospitality.Dolma aunty cooks homegrown veggies which is amazing.Also,I had freshly brewed chammomile tea everyday. Rooms are very cozy,airy and spacious interiors.Per night stay is pocket friendly.The common room/dinning area is instagrammable place. I love strolling in their kitchen garden which is just beside a stream,hence named Streamlet homestay. I was here in September 2025 during harvesting season of Apricot and apple and Uncle was so generous that he asked me to take fruits for my home too. Please stay in this homestay for a quiant stay near foothills of Shanti Stupa.

Set in a quiet part of town, away from the bustle of Changspa. The family is very nice, the food was arguably the best I had in Ladakh, and the rooms are big and comfortable.
