Stanzin... what an incredible host! We've been to a lot of homestays these last few weeks in India but his warmth, generosity and general helpfulness undoubtedly made this stay the standout. Ladakh Eco House is a beautiful spot a 30 minute walk away from Leh city centre, where there is much to explore. But if you're not feeling up to it and would rather chill in the sun trap of a garden and stare at the majestic mountains, you're in the right place. Stanzin will help organise trips to Pangong Lake or Nubra Valley, or shorter hikes and walks. Having grown up in the area, he knows all kinds of people who will provide fairly-priced services. Our flight ended up being cancelled due to snow and in the situation he couldn't have been more kind and reassuring. 10/10 stay, you won't regret it.

The staff was friendly, nevertheless they didn't speak English. The garden is really nice and the breakfast quite okay. All in all we had a nice stay for two nights before going on a hike.
