We had a good stay here! The location is great if you look for a base in a quiet area with lots of nature around. The nearby bus stop (Shizhao) connects you to Alishan and to Chiayi. On the same steet as the bus stop, you will find the nearest supermarkets. Yet, it is a 30 minute walk from the hotel. Only 5 minutes by car. The staff was extremely attentive to assist with this and it was never a problem for them to drive us to the Shizhao bus stop. On the first day, it was raining a lot. In that case, there is not much to do. Keep that in mind. On the second day, the weather was dry and sunny. Then you can really enjoy the trails and views! Breakfast options are limited and beds a bit hard for my preference. Yet, a memorable experience thanks to the staff and views at the property and area!

It’s modern, clean apartment in a quite location. The host drive us to bus station and pick up us as needed. There are trails around for walking. Small coffee at the next building for some snacks and coffee.

The facility and staff helped to pick us up each day to go up and down the hill to get food. It’s really appreciated. The host also recommended us the secret place to watch sunset, thank you!

The host Mr Huang was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding us around the area, which can be slightly confusing for first time visitors like us. He and his mother offered to drive us to nearby Fenqihu (10mins drive) for a short walk and little town area in Shizhuo (5 mins drive) to take public bus up to the main Alishan forest. The place is relatively new, less than 2 years I think and it is very relaxing and calming for everyone. Bed is comfortable with air-conditioning, air dehumidifier (remember to drain the water tank regularly) and hot water for shower. There is a secret area behind the home stay which is mere 5 minutes up a slope to a stunning view of the mountains (see 3rd photo) Breakfast is simple but hearty enough to start the day, need to book your timing with the host a day before. There is a lot of place to explore from there, you need to plan for it or can check out with the host. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay for us, it was nice chatting with the host if you have the time, he is very open to sharing. Will visit again if going Alishan.

Staff was very friendly, hotel room was very clean and came wth great view! Breakfast was simple but nice. Overlooked the tree plantation which was great for a morning walk around the area.
