Hotel du marché was cozy, very close to the centre and the receptionist was really kind.

Parking space at rear for my motorcycle 🏍, pleasant reception staff and staff throughout my stay. Aged hotel but clean & functional. Explored area & headed for Metro nearby to Ouchy. Shower 🚿 was OK, but facilities are shared down corridor. Kept window open as no a / c or, indeed, a fan but was noisy through early part of night.

Room: Good size, comfortable to stay in. The bathroom was extremely small and shared — could be larger — but the decent-sized sink in the room was convenient and helpful. Location: Very central, close to the city center and old town, though a bit far from the lake. If the windows are open, mornings can be noisy due to garbage collection.
