Cottage-like hotel with authentic, quirky Icelandic interior. Conveniently located near Mývatn on Route 1. The staff was extremely friendly and prepared the room way before the official check-in time despite our spontaneous booking and arrival. The room had everything we needed; it was totally quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We did not try the dinner, but the breakfast was pretty good with lots of choice. Two friendly dogs greeted us (they belong to the hotel, apparently). Would come again here any time.

Very spacious house and rooms, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast. Good position, very tranquil and close to Myvatn and Akureyri. Simple Hot Pot to relax and cozy atmosphere across the entire huge building. Highly recommended!
