Very responsive owner. I booked just a few hours beforehand, and it wasn't a problem. All messages were responded to promptly. Very clean, stylish place. There are stone walls, and it's on the ground floor, so it will be cool in summer.

“Really nice overstay! Calm and slow pace of life as Italian like it!”

The property is cozy for a couple, kitchen is arranged with all the tools for cooking and boxes for bringing food to the seaside! The Lanusei is a little village on the mountain with a slow pace atmospheres, people are kind and welcoming (not a lot are English speakers the only drawback) and for the sleeping time is absolutely quiet! The apartment got all the tools also for the seaside day with sun umbrella and chairs and stuff if you like to use it! We didn’t buy it was good to have a back up of those things in case we needed! Air condition is working well, and sleeping at night was amazing, really silent area with a top comfort of an amazing mattress! Really nice out stay, we will come back for sure! The only aspect you have to consider is that you have to rent a car because is 20 minutes from seaside and there are not so much public transports! For the parking is just time of being able to park in narrow pathway, but there are also public parking area that are slightly on the side (10 minutes walking)! Very nice place!

“Value bolt-hole in a wonderful little town”

Good communication and very detailed instructions from our hosts on how to find the property, which make sense when approaching on foot (look for the plaque that says Vico III Giovani Spano). If you have a car, use the middle level of the multi-storey car park accessed from the start of Viali Don Giovanni Bosco, and walk to the property! (The top level accessed from the roundabout seems to be limited stay, but is a good place to pull in and get your bearings on this complex warren of streets. You cannot dawdle here as the local cars fly along these narrow passages.) Other than no windows, this quirky property has almost everything you need for a short stay, including gas cooker, fridge, TV and en suite shower room. The property also comes with a brochure that gives you the total inside gen on the town's recycling policy, which appears in Italy to be an Olympic-level extreme participation sport. The town itself is perched high up in a spectacular hillside location (walk into the pizzeria/hotel on Via Umberto to see it in its glory, or look out from the aforementioned car park). Completely recommend you get the bus or drive down to Arbatax, get off on the final stop and walk to the area beyond the Red Rock for a secluded swim. The café overlooking the railway line is a lovely space to sit for hours. We also came back to the area to take the Trenino Verde from Arbatax back up to Lanusei and that full-day package, including train, coach, tours, caves and food is superb value for money. (Book in advance online as it has limited operation.). Recommend this accomodation if you're on a budget.
