Location was lovely and peaceful with easy access to Etang du Dordu. Where we were staying was also peaceful and well equipped.

The gite is a beautiful renovated old granary and so has all its original charm on the outside. The location is so wonderfully peaceful and the nearby lake Dordu is beautiful and not at all touristy. It is so quiet that at night you can hear the wildlife, particularly the owls and birds of prey. The swimming pool, although shared with the other two gites, was warm enough and large enough and mostly quiet enough to enjoy either a swim or a mess around with a ball and inflatables or to just lie by the side in the sun. Eddy and Cindy, the hosts were very welcoming and communication with us throughout our stay was excellent. On our arrival we were greeted personally by them and also received a welcome package of food and wine, which was a lovely gesture. The welcome folder provided plenty of information about places to visit and eat. The gite was well equipped for self-catering. The gite and its location on the whole felt comfortable and safe. There was enough wi-fi to stop the teens from complaining. A shack by Lake Dordu is a nice friendly place for a drink run by an English family who are very informal and we enjoyed a barbecue there with live music.
