Beautiful peaceful setting with an abundance of farm life and wildlife. We saw beavers in the pond next to our hut. The host is a wonderful chef - superb food.

What a fabulous unique experience it was staying at Domaine de la Gaucherie! The variety of animals wandering through the grounds and the parrot just added to the very special experience of staying here. The pool looked lovely although the weather meant that we didn't use it. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed chatting to the the interesting other guests. Aurelia, our host, was generous and entertaining.

The host Aureilia was very warm.and friendly and cooked a delightful 3 course meal for us although we were a little later than expected. The grounds are populated with various animals that have been rescued. Our favourite was the Macaw, which was very close to the host and that has been with her for about 10 years. The breakfast was excellent and very adequate. Nothing was too much trouble for her. It helps if you are an animal lover. Well recommended.

Amazing place with a fabulous host. Very natural setting with a lake, animals and a swimming pool. Not much around but that's what we wanted. Loved it.
