The location overlooking the the town & the Roman themselves are amazing. The hosts António are incredible people, I had a medical emergency and he helped me as if I was one of their own. Location, hosts & facilities you will not find better Bottom of my heart thank you

Casa da Real Companhia is now my go-to retreat in Lamego! From the moment I arrived, the hosts made me feel like an old friend rather than a guest. My room was spotless, beautifully fresh, and irresistibly comfortable—just what you hope for after a day exploring the Douro Valley. Waking up to sweeping views over the property and the surrounding hills was pure magic, and the calm, quiet atmosphere meant I slept like a dream each night. A special highlight was strolling through the lush cherry trees at dawn, picking sun-warmed cherries to enjoy with breakfast—an unforgettable, charming touch you won’t find elsewhere. If you value genuine hospitality, immaculate rooms, tranquil scenery, and those little moments that make a stay memorable, Casa da Real Companhia is unbeatable. I can’t recommend it highly enough and have firmly established it as my place to stay whenever I’m in Lamego. Thanks so much for having me—already counting the days until my next visit!

Super localization to visit the town and its monuments. 15-minute walk to the center (downhill), back the same distance but uphill. Good breakfast. Very helpful manager of the house. Breakfast continental - enough for the whole day. Beautiful view on the whole city of Lamego
