⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem at Lamai Beach – Authentic Thai Charm & Amazing Staff! Zora and I are from Germany! We spent a wonderful vacation stay at the Aloha Resort and honestly enjoyed it far more than expected. Yes, the hotel is over 45 years old, and you can definitely see that parts of the property are already renovated while other areas could use some modernization — but that’s also part of its authentic charm and character. Some of the bathrooms need an upgrade, but anyway they are clean and functional. What truly makes this place special is the atmosphere and the people. The entire resort area is beautifully maintained, with lush tropical gardens and a very clean, inviting pool area that feels like a little oasis. The location is absolutely fantastic — directly at Lamai Beach with stunning ocean views and only a few steps from the warmest sea water imaginable. In May 2026, the ocean literally felt like bathtub temperature! Another huge plus: despite traveling during the rainy season, we had almost no rain at all and enjoyed plenty of sunshine and beautiful beach days. The staff deserves special recognition. Everyone at the reception was incredibly warm, welcoming and always helpful with a genuine smile. Thai hospitality at its best. Breakfast itself is simple and not the biggest highlight of the hotel, but definitely sufficient and fresh enough to start the day well. However, the absolute star of the breakfast area is the chef preparing omelettes and egg dishes live every morning. He is always smiling, super friendly, incredibly motivated and simply spreads good vibes from early morning on. His delicious omelettes became one of our daily highlights!

Location was great. A 5 minute walk from the main area but the beach was clean and quiet with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops just outside the door. Pool overlooking the beach was lovely.
