This place has a soul of it’s own, very rare nowadays with all these hotel chains and mechanical Airbnbs. Rooms are decent and functional, however the common areas like kitchen , lounge and garden and perfect and will make you feel good. Definitely a very positive energy in the place and you can read the stories of the owner. The garden, view and animals were perfect addition.

I felt like I was living in a fairy tale. The property is huge, with several little cottages and herb/veggie gardens, surrounded by beautiful autumn colors—yellow, red, green, and blooming flowers. There are guinea pigs and even big roosters, which adds so much charm. Multiple hidden paths lead into the property, making it feel like a secret retreat ;) There’s direct access to a tennis court (also suitable for basketball and soccer), and I even discovered a hidden walking path (with apples) that takes you to Lake Tekapo in just 5 minutes. It’s perfect for a peaceful morning coffee walk—you’ll see rabbits, ducks, and mushrooms, but hardly any people! I’d love to come back to see it in every season :)
