Perfect location for exploring Mt Cook and the surrounding area. Close enough to Twizel to restock on supplies or go out for dinner but giving the perfect wilderness experience. Super comfortable beds, great shower, good cooking facilities, warm (we stayed during winter) and perfect for a family getaway. Loved it.

Brilliant location, quiet, lots of space, well appointed & awesome lake views. In addition, it was handy to Twizel for shopping & not too far to Tekapo for dinner or a visit and of course a beautiful drive into Mt Cook Village. We stopped by the airport & took a helicopter flight!

The cottage location is magical, the view is stunning, the peace and quiet was unmatched. Sunset, full moon rising over the mountains and reflecting on the lake, sunrise over the mountains, such an array of natural wonders. The cottage was well equipped, well presented and comfortable. The heating worked perfectly and the beds were comfortable with nice thick blankets. Drinking a hot cuppa while watching the lake was blissful. The shower had a good flow and plenty of hot water. Room for improvement? Possibly a few sharp knives for chopping and a few small bowls, for those who like to make their own dinner. Overall a fabulous property I would recommend.
