A wonderful, spacious apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) with a very nice kitchen in a larger apartment complex (including a swimming pool). Only a very small number of the apartments are rented to tourists - so there is not the usual dense "tourist traffic". We very much liked the use of wood (hardwood floors, cabinets etc.) in the building and in the apartment. We felt very much welcome by the host, Joana, who was immensely helpful, friendly and hospitable. The apartment is located in the marina district, only a 10-15 min walk to the center of the town. It has all the amenities one would for a stay with friends - dishwasher, washing machine. The highlight was an electric orange squeezer which produced large amounts of fresh "sumo de laranja"! Three large supermarkets (2 Pingo Doce, 1 Lidl) are in walking distance.

The apparent was spotless and had a beautiful clean smell when we entered. The beds were extremely comfortable as was the sofa bed which was the best sofa bed Ive ever had in a holiday let. The apartment is very roomy with a large balcony with a nice outlook. Importantly the air conditioning was brilliant in every room. Beautiful apartment we would return in a heartbeat. I must mention the apartment host Joana, she was so helpful and nice.
