Our stay at Baan Tawan Chai was perfect. Before our arrival, the owner Zu was exceptionally helpful in offering advice on restaurants, bars, catering and sightseeing, as well as answering our many questions as we excitedly prepared for our stay. The villa host Khun Joy and her assistant Khun Film were so welcoming. We were very well looked after with a delicious breakfast each morning, and multiple authentic and tasty Thai lunches and dinners. The accomodation of 4 separate bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom, was beautifully presented and suited our family of six. We really appreciated the extra touches of Christmas decorations to make a festive holiday. Not only was Khun Joy an excellent cook but she was very helpful organising transport, and giving advice on local sightseeing. We spent many hours around the pool and walking along the beach (a few steps away). 10 days went by too quickly, so we will certainly return. We highly recommend this villa for a peaceful and relaxing stay in a quiet area of Koh Samui, but with easy access to the bustling areas of Lamai and Chaweng.

The friendly, caring staff, drivers, tradesmen and local Thai residents created a warm, united ambiance and we felt very much at home. The location is beautiful. The pool was enjoyed by all. The facilities (overall) met our needs quite well. There was good access to beaches, restaurants and shopping via scooters and the hired van. The outdoor showers were enjoyed by several of us.
