Topche is in a beautiful location and the huts and surroundings are kept very well. The Chanuk family are lovey hosts giving a very happy fee to the place. It’s a perfect base to visit Yaxchilán and Bonampak, swim in the waterfalls and walk in the selva.

The family are very friendly and the place is very clean, physically and energetically. No WiFi or mobile signal in cabins which Imo is a good thing. Walls are thin and cocks crow quite a lot.

We had a lovely stay at topche , we planned to stay one night and ended up staying 3 nights exploring the jungle , cascades and the lost temples. They made time to talk to us and explain us about their rich culture , ask them to explain more about the pictures on the wall and you will hear a very interesting family history . Grandfather Abuelo is on the picture as a 10 year old who has lived a very indigenous life away from modern society and is now welcoming tourist from all over The world giving them a wifi code , what an interesting family. You need to speak some Spanish to get the story . They made for my birthday a pancake with candle on , best birthday I probably had in my life. The accommodation was nice , a double bed each , beds were made up daily , daily fresh bottle of water and fresh towels Every other day . Perfect service WiFi is not so good (unable to send pictures) but that was not our priority to have good experience in the jungle .

The accommodation is basic which is to be expected as it’s located in a tiny village immersed in nature. The service is the best we’ve received in our 3 weeks in Mexico so far. We also went on a guided tour through the jungle and tried their restaurant, both great and at fair prices. They don’t speak English but our basic Spanish was enough for us to communicate. Perfect spot for nature lovers!
