Wow! What an amazing property in the heart of La Rochelle. So beautiful decorated with comfy beds, a pretty garden and plenty of space. The hotel is so quiet so we slept very well and was greeted with a delicious continental breakfast in the morning. You can’t help but feel the history of this 1745 building seeping through the walls and it feels like a secret haven that only a few get to know about. The giant wooden bath and our own sauna made it an extra special stay. The parking is about 5 minutes away, at about €12 euros a day which you can do via a parking app so you don’t need to return and top up your ticket every time. There are some residential roads near by if you are lucky to grab a space. The guest house is right in the centre near the food market (which is so worth a visit) and all the shops and only a 10min flat walk down to the old port. A perfect place for a few nights to discover La Rochelle. We will be back!

A lovely welcome from Céline, super comfortable and very central location close to restaurants in the town and a short walk to the harbour. Delicious breakfast and everything was stylish, including the bath!

Beautiful building, fantastic location near the old market, lots of restos and bars, short walk through town to the port. Ground floor room has its own hammam/steam room, plus private access to the garden. Also the staff were unfailingly helpful in terms of arrival and departure and suggestions for the area.
