Great quiet location away from main tourist area but easy access to sights across the bridge. Near train line. Staff very helpful and well appointed apartment very stylishly decorated.

The room was absolutely beautiful, beds super comfortable and it just had a lovely restful atmosphere ☺️ The staff were fabulous and friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast too! We like that it was on the non touristy side of the bridge so away from the hordes but still accessible to where we wanted to go.

We loved our stay at The GrandWest Arashiyama. It is on a quiet street across the Togetsukyō Bridge and near surrounding forests. It is walking distance to a popular shopping street, the Tenryu-ji Temple and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We recommend the restaurants in the Arashiyama Park Nakanoshima Area (8 minutes walking from the hotel). My dad and I found it to be such a restful stay, with a beautiful open plan interior, great beds and amenities, and very friendly and polite staff. We would love to stay here again.

Especially good for toddlers. We loved all the toddler friendly options such as the toys, books, kids futon, kids bath amenities, rental bike with baby seat etc. and the hotel room was very large by Japans usual standards.
