You must inform the hotel in advance what time you plan to check in. If your check-in time changes, please update the hotel.A deposit via PayPal is required to secure guest reservations. The property will contact the guests after booking on instructions about payment. Guests must make the payment via PayPal within the instructed date.Take a JR bus from Karasuma Chuo Exit of JR Kyoto Station, and get off at Yamashiro Takao Bus Stop. Please call the hotel before getting on the bus, and the hotel staff will wait at the bus stop to escort you to the property.Dinner is served in a "Kawadoko" open-air dining area from June to September.Please note, dining options are not available within a walking distance from the property. Guests must place their menu orders by 18:30 to eat dinner on site.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

One of the most fantastic places I've stayed in. Located in the middle of jungles atop a mountain , with the river flowing right next to it- such perfect placement. The host was also really caring, accommodating- the hotel seemed more like home! They gave us fresh kimonos and Slippers (indoor as well as outdoor), the food was absolutely authentic, they even had a really good onsen. Absolutely loved it.

The position, the staff and the food. It’s in the most spectacular spot next to the Jingo-Jo temple. The river is so soothing at night and so pretty during the day. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The dinner we had there was such good quality- well worth the price.

Our stay was very comfortable and we had a great experience. The staff at the hotel took really nice care for us. We were 2 families with kids and each of us were highly impressed with the warmth, kindness and high dedication and personal attention we were shown. Truly made our stay exceptional. The dinner and breakfast was really great with ample of choices and the location of the hotel is the best in Japan. We will visit here and stay much longer next time we are in Japan.

We loved the location, very quiet and peaceful. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. We loved the traditional room and the food. It was a great place to relax and have a couple of days away from the cities.
