Rafael “Good”

The idea of staying at a ryokan is nice, and the staff is attentive and makes the best possible effort to welcome you. They don't speak English, but they strive to understand and be understood. However, I feel obligated to report some negative points. Firstly, I am aware of the check-in and check-out times, but I don't see the point in such a late check-in (4 pm), while check-out is at 10 am. In other words, you pay for a day (24 hours), but you don't spend more than 18 hours enjoying the place. The onsen available is just a wooden tank that fits one person. I believe they could expand it to accommodate more people, since the usage time is limited. Breakfast isn't cheap, but if you're willing to pay, it might be worth the experience (keep in mind that there isn't much food for the price you'll pay). The room cleaning is okay. Because it's an older establishment, there's a residual smell, which I believe comes from the tatami mats. Nothing that bothered me. A very annoying and unnecessary situation occurred when we were in the living room. We got a coffee from the coffee machine (available for guests) and when we wanted to get a second coffee, they removed the water and said we couldn't get any more. This was so absurd because the daily rate for this place isn't cheap, and choosing to act this way creates much more discomfort for the guests, instead of bringing good memories. There's also a water fountain with a sign saying that it's forbidden to fill plastic bottles. It's the first time I've seen a place prohibit someone from getting a little water to drink. So that's it. If you're researching ryokan to stay in, I recommend reading the reviews carefully.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are great, and it felt like a really authentic ryokan experience. The highlight was the food - kaiseki dinner and breakfast were outstanding and really beautifully presented. Thank you very much!

If you want to experience a full traditional experience in a Ryokan apartment, this is a good place to go! You also have an "onsen like" feature at the hotel. The staff was very kind and provided us with all the information the could!
