Please remember to print out a map to the property.Reservations with invalid credit cards may be cancelled by the property, if the guests fail to provide another valid credit card information within 24 hours after notification.Please contact the hostel about the cancellation policy if you are booking for a group of 10 people or more. The property may not be able to accommodate a booking by the same person for more than 20 people.Please note that the maximum occupancy of the double and twin rooms includes all children and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. For extra guests exceeding the room occupancy, guests will be asked to separate rooms and additional charges will apply. Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in, in terms of facilities and amenities. Beds are comfy, pretty much everything you need is provided. The kitchen and lounge space is excellent. Staff are really friendly and it's well located just a 5 min walk to the JR station as well as malls and restaurants close by. Easy to get elsewhere in Kyoto using public transport. A fantastic stay!

Everything - location, interiors, kitchen, comfortable sleeping (stayed in single room), cleanliness and helpful, friendly staff.

Because of the availability issue I stayed 2 different rooms. Other review is longer Double room, bed was great. At the entrance floor there is an area they put event, information, which is good.

When I came to Kyoto, I liked the idea being close to Kyoto station. The atmosphere of the common area is good, staff was helpflul, most of them knew english well. Free Coffee (coffee seeds), tea good. Bed itself was comfortable. Shower were good, big enough and with shampoo, cond, etc. Kitchen, I didm't cook but there were tginfs to use.

Unfortunately, would not stay again. I would say that the hostel was a bit out of the main things to do in Kyoto, it is less than 10 min walk to the train station however sometimes the train didn’t go to where we wanted to go / would have to still walk quite a bit anyway with taking the train. But, the main reason I wouldn’t stay again were the showers, 1) the showers were downstairs on the ground floor near the kitchen, which wasn’t convenient 2) the showers were similar to those you get on the beach, you had to push the button for the shower to work, and once pressed the shower would stay on for 20 seconds before turning off. Although I understand saving water etc, it was really annoying to have to keep pressing the button every 20 seconds. This was something that only bothered me and not my partner though, so might also not bother others. The private bedroom itself was fine, small but had a mirror and sink. The tv was nice, but only had Japanese TV channels, so wasn’t able to watch anything.

Nice kitchen with toaster oven, microwave and rice cooker. Nice crockery and cutlery. Free tea and coffee all day. Fridge for food. Three mac computers. Happy hour certain days. Location couldn’t be better at 5 mins from Kyoto station. The whole place was spotless.
