Simply one of the best stays we’ve had anywhere in all our travelling and certainly a highlight of our trip to Japan! Tome truly went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of our short visit to Kyoto, including suggesting (and arranging) our sight seeing and dining options! We had such fun in the speakeasy too! Thanks Tome.

Amazing ryokan. The room, breakfast, location are all exceptional but what makes this one of the best places we have stayed in 45 years of travel is the hosts. Tome-san makes it seem like you are staying with a friend. Her warmth, advice, recommendations are superb. We just wished to have stayed longer. We will though return. If in Kyoto this is the place to stay.

Beautiful room, breakfast was great with a bit of variation each day. Nice quiet area with a lot of local restaurants and handy for public transport to go anywhere else. Tome is the best, very helpful and. friendly and made the stay all the more enjoyable, she gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing which always hit the spot.

Incredibly privileged to have stayed here. Tome was the perfect host & we enjoyed every aspect of her beautiful Ryokan. She was there to greet us when our taxi pulled up & couldn't have done more for us during our short stay. We wanted a traditional Ryokan experience and couldn't have asked for a more comfortable, spacious, beautifully kept room or surroundings. A must stay if you are in Kyoto!
