Beautiful hotel, very clean, and the staff were wonderful. The surrounding area is quiet and beautiful. The sauna was amazing. Free drinks also went down a treat. Our top tips: do take the cablecar and ropeway which is a 10 min walk away up to the top of Mt Hiei for the gorgeous views of Kyoto and the Enrakyuji temple. There is also a 7-11 nearby which was a lifesaver. There is also a smaller temple nearby, past the 7-11. We took a taxi to central Kyoto to explore which was worth the money vs train.

The quiet, gentle, well thought out space. the gardens. Nice, modern bedrooms. Absolutely amazing modern Kaiseki style dinner. Pleasant neighbourhood near Mr Hei and some nice walks around and a cable car just a few minutes walk away to take you to the top of the hill.

The property was a nice boutique place next to a beautiful stream. Food was great and the facilities were very clean. Very nice for a peaceful retreat away from the madding crowd.
