Ryokan Overview

Just across the road from Kyoto Station’s Central Exit, Matsumoto Ryokan offers simple air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV and a Yukata robe. It offers free Wi-Fi at the lobby.
You can stay in a Western room or experience Japanese-style lodgings, with a tatami (woven-straw) floor, traditional futon bedding and a low table with floor cushions. Private bathroom includes both a bath and a shower.
The hotel is a 1-minute walk from Kyoto Tower and a 4-minute walk from Higashi Hongan-ji Temple. Sanjusangen-do Temple is a 20-minute walk away.
A free-use internet PC is available at the lobby. Luggage can be stored at the front desk, which can also arrange massages.
A Japanese set breakfast (07:00-08:30) and dinner (18:00-20:00) are served at the dining room for an additional fee. Dinner must be reserved at least 2 days in advance.

Please note all guest rooms are smoking rooms; however, rooms can be deodorized upon request.

Our stay was amazing. Staff were great. I do hope they sanitise the jandals you wear that are provided. However very happy with our stay there . Would go back !

The location was perfect, opposite the train station, so great for getting around. Everything that you could possibly want close by. Traditional Japanese room was a great experience, very spacious and surprising comfortable.

Japanese style room was very authentic and still well equipped for my stay. Large packing space. Loved the spa, just for ladies two different ones. Staff was overwhlmingly kind. Western style room was small, little storage space.
