A very special hotel, they have kept the unique history with beautifully designed spaces and each room having wonderful features (the library with nintendo artifacts is a real standout regardless of whether you are a nintendo fan). The self service bar and snacks area is also a wonderful touch. The staff are so helpful and helped book some excellent local restaurants for us which really made our stay in Kyoto even more special A truly fabulous boutique hotel which we would not hesitate to recommend!

I loved rhe vibe of the place, the library area, a very generous size of the room, attention to kids details, all was excellent! It has no lift, but all our luggage was taken care of. The breakfast was excellent - european option ia huge!

Beautiful hotel. Very helpful staff and a gorgeous quiet location and only a short walk from the river, shopping, restaurants and sights.
