I liked everything there: perfect central location (big food market “Kitchen of Kyoto” just in two blocks away), outstanding service super kind and welcoming, unique atmosphere, delicious traditional breakfasts with helping ladies with whom I fell in love, great and relaxing onsen with water infused with green tea. Just a paradise in the busy city. By the way, there is a delicious gyoza restaurant next door recommended by the Michelin Guide. Went there twice during our 3-night stay.

Authentic experience. Breakfast was incredible Staff don't speak a lot of English, but really go above and beyond to help.

Everything was great - but staff speak very little english. Very difficult to communicate when we need to use translator all the time. But in terms of experience its great - like its the middle of kyoto - clean and loving jap futon bed
