Loved the simplicity of the rooms. Very large rooms, clean and comfortable. This is a very small hotel with 8 rooms so staff is not on site 24 hrs. Communication is done through the booking site with response taking several hours. Felt a bit more like an Airbnb than a hotel. The location was very convenient, walkable to tourist areas, restaurants and shopping. Be aware this hotel has 5 floors and no elevator.

Beautiful boutique hotel, lovely space and great location. Only negative is that we had 5th floor room and we had to take up all our luggage in the narrow steep steps. All in all though it was a great hotel and is stay again

- Location was great, right in Gion. Quite, accessible to many places, you don't even need bus, you can just walk down center - Room is too good for the price, super big, nice balcony, great noise isolation, nothing to complain.
