In terms of value for money and size, this would probably be pretty hard to match in and around Kyoto Station. The room was quite spacious by Japanese business hotel standards and could accommodate large suitcases if one was only staying for a few nights. Location-wise, you simply head out the Hachijo exit side and walk to the end of the station building, the hotel is across the street. Toji is walkable as well, which is a nice bonus. Note, check-in / check- out is done on the machines around the corner from the reception. Keep this receipt as it has your room number printed on the top. In the morning there is a simple breakfast set up for guests.
