Located near Kyoto Station so handy for check in & out. However, is 6km from Gian, which is the traditional district. We very much liked being able to use the hotel bikes for free although only four of them and first come first served basis. That said, we used two of them for two full days which meant we got to know the area pretty well. Kyoto is not the quaint geisha and temple district you might think but basically a large sprawling commercial town. Glad seen it but wouldn’t recommend or rush back to Kyoto. Hotel has big hot bath which is quite fun, once, but cannot unfortunately unsee the very hairy naked man we saw. Eugh!

Location, quality of accommodation and facilities second to none. The Onsen (free to use) was excellent and very clean, as was the whole hotel.
