A really clean hostel space that feels new. The one room with 6 beds is nice and also has a sort of living room space next door which is really nice so you can relax somewhere too. There was only one other guest the same time as me staying in the shared room so it was really private and quiet, but it's also on a separate floor from everything else so I don't think it would feel crowded. The town is really lovely to visit and not super far away although it's a walk. Would recommend for a budget traveler!

Best experience in Kusatsu. Very affordable guesthouse and friendly owner. She helped me out with what to do in town when I got there. The guest house is 5-mins walk from the bus station so it's super convenient. I experienced staying in a traditional tatami house, super clean room and good facilities. The owner is very polite and supportive during my stay. Thanks so much for the hospitality and I hope to go back one day.

The accommodation is charming, very well-maintained and carefully looked after. We love staying in traditional houses in Japan, especially when they are well-located and spotlessly clean. The property offers a shared kitchen fully equipped with everything necessary, which we found extremely useful. Our room was spacious, with tasteful furnishings, a heater, and both regular and electric blankets to keep us warm — something we truly appreciated, as temperatures outside were very low, yet the room remained perfectly comfortable. Another highlight of our stay was the warm welcome we received from the owner. She was very kind, provided us with useful information about the city, and even allowed us to check in an hour earlier as the room was already prepared, which was a lovely and much-appreciated gesture.
