The host Kimmo is great, so helpful and accommodating. The scenery is beautiful and this hostel has some good facilities.

Not my first stay in a former hospital! But a much bigger place than my previous encounter! This was easy to find ,good communication & i seemed to be the only 1 staying on this night ! You get a sunk in your room ,but toliets are down the corridor! So as it is a big building ( I was staying behind the main building) can be eerily quiet ! But the room was clean ,,bed was good , breakfast was good !! Had a good talk in broken Finnish & English with the owner ! The photos are accurate of the place, a pretty unique & good location for an over night stop !

Very flexible host. He waited for me to arrive, even though I checked in late. Because I needed to leave very early in the morning, they arranged an early breakfast for me. The facility was impeccably clean. I slept very well.

Located far away from Kuopio, this place is truly brilliant for those who prefer nature and calmness. There is a picturesque lake nearby and several walking trails to enjoy. Breakfast was rich and really good one, with the wide selection of meals.
