The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

This is a perfect place if you enjoy being off the beaten track. The nature and the beaches are stunning and Tampat do Aman is in the middle of it. In the resort itself you can enjoy the sounds of nature and see a lot of animals around. You don't have to worry about getting around or food. The host is offering to take you to the beaches back and forth, he gives you lots of advices what to do and where to go. The beach area offers plenty of food options. The family is really welcoming and made my stay very pleasant, especially as a solo traveller.

Howard greeted us warmly and showed us around throughout our stay. We stayed in the longhouse room, which was perfectly fine for a short visit. The beds are basic but comfortable, and the mosquito net helped a lot. The bathroom has no roof, so you can stargaze and enjoy the surrounding forest while showering. The outdoor toilet, however, does not have running water or a bidet. There’s also a small Rungus Museum on site, where you can learn more about Rungus heritage and culture.

Howard gave us the *best* welcome and we immediately felt at home in our blue chalet which had a bathroom and verandah. All the reviews are correct about the breakfasts too,! We had a scooter and could explore local beaches; Howard told us the good snorkelling spots. There are some great local places to eat but do check when they are open There is a museum and a nature trail and a paddy field view none of which should be missed.
