Norman “in the house of the big poet”

The 'big poet' referred to is Simon Jenko, one of Slovenia's most lauded, and this was how he was described by a young visitor to his former residence. This is both an apartment for rent and an occasional cultural centre, in an excellent location just off the main square in the attractive old town of Kranj. It's not only atmospheric, but well-maintained with a helpful host. The apartment was well-stocked for our visit, and any concerns were dealt with swiftly and efficiently. A USB featuring a documentary on Jenko, who had a hard time at the hands of ill-intentioned critics but became a national treasure, was a welcome gift.

We liked this apartment but would love to see some improvements when we come back. First impression; beautiful, spacious and creative apartment and suits the age of this building. Beds were ok, living room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was big enough. The location was wonderful; in the middle of the city center. Check in was friendly and easy.
