Special experience sleeping in an actual temple, especially the morning ritual together with the monks. There’s an evening guided walk with monk Patrick (American, so no language barrier) which is worth the 2,000 JPY! Vegetarian dinner tasted phenomenally and was presented very nicely.

It was possible to attend a meditation, night tour and morning ceremony. They also have an Onsen.

Great and exciting food, a new experience for me who is not buddhist. Beautiful house and garden. Friendly staff. Possibility to participate in (i.e. watch) morning prayers at 6 am. Perfect location.
