The property was clean and spacious. The pool was a good size and depth. I would recommend having a car if you are looking to stay here as it would be a long walk to a supermarket and such. The small town up the hill from the villa has a lovely taverna that I would recommend.

The views are spectacular. The pool had shaded areas and the bedrooms were comfortable.

The view is absolutely amazing! The pool was great even for April. The house is great and spacious and very clean ( we stayed 4 adults and 2 children, grandparents stayed in the little apartment) The kitchen is well equipped. The house seemed newly renovated and in good condition. We loved the little village near by ( not for people with walking disability as it is very steep hills) and had dinner there several times and enjoyed the good local dishes. Supermarket is about 10 min by car. We went to lake Kournas 4 times. The lake can be reached in about 10 min by car. Great spaces by the lake for small children with little playgrounds at the tavernas. Host Maria is very sweet and helpful, and she was there to greet us when we arrived even though it was late at night, and it was a complete lifesaver that there was complimentary bread, juice and cheese in the fridge when we arrived. We had a wonderful holiday and hope we will return someday:-)

The pool indeed was heated, it was 25C in October, so the pool was warmer than air most of the days. We enjoyed it very much. The villa has a lot of different equipment, feels like home. Kournas village itself is such lovely place. I loved the professionalism of villa’s owner and also Maria who was most helpful. The cleaning ladies and the handyman were super nice, too as actually all people we met during our trip to Crete. The villa is perfect if you need 3 bedrooms for your family but one bedroom seperate for your parents or other friend as this has its own entrance and own kitchen. The main kitchen also had dishwasher - such big advantage for me. All beds very comfy.
